ART EXPLORERS: 3-D ART AND MORE!QuestGet down with upcycled art! In this camp children will have fun exploring 3-D art forms. They will work with recycled materials to make collage, sculptures, toys, and games. The children will also be exposed to printmaking and building sculptures with paper mache. They will also learn to express 3-D forms on flat surfaces through drawing and painting. Through these fun and creative art forms the children will learn art history and improve their ability to see and express themselves in new ways. Beat Making 101QuestThis after-school beat-making class introduces students to the fundamentals of creating music on the computer using professional music production software. Kids explore rhythm, melody, sampling, and song structure through hands-on projects while developing creative confidence and basic music production skills they can continue using outside of class. CSI SonomaQuestA crime has been committed at a local elementary and we need your help to solve the case. Become a crime scene investigator; learn how real crime scene investigation is done. Take out your crime scene tape, put on your gloves, and unleash your strong observational and scientific skills. Collect evidence from the scene, interview witnesses, and back in our CSI laboratory learn the techniques that will make you an expert investigator. Review witness accounts, and use deductive reasoning to create a crime timeline. Set up experiments to figure out details about the perpetrator through pH testing, hidden fingerprints, invisible ink analysis, and chromatography. Starting SoonFrench For Bright MindsQuestFrench for Bright Minds is an engaging after-school language enrichment program designed for students in grades 1–5. Through interactive games, songs, storytelling, movement, and creative projects, students are introduced to the French language in a fun and supportive learning environment. The course focuses on building confidence in basic communication skills, including greetings, numbers, colors, family, food, weather, and everyday expressions. Students develop listening, speaking, and early reading skills while gaining cultural awareness of French-speaking countries and traditions. Lessons are age-appropriate and structured to support different learning styles, encouraging curiosity, collaboration, and creativity. After being sorted into Houses, we will sharpen our skills with Spells and Charms and take part in some friendly wizard dueling. Try your hand at Divination and see if you have the talent to spot the Grim! Be sure to look sharp in Transfiguration class, and get ready to test your mettle to achieve the “subtle science and exact art” of some tiny magical concoctions in Potions class! Jurassic ExplorersQuestStep into a prehistoric adventure! 🦖🌿 This Jurassic Park–themed summer camp invites young explorers ages 5–10 to travel back in time and discover the amazing world of dinosaurs. Little Monsters Culinary Cooking CampQuestClasses start with an introduction to all ingredients being used. The recipes for the day are read allowed and we make sure no one “yucks someone's yum” - we work as a team to create each recipe. Each student takes home a portion of what they make everyday. We will make 2 recipes per day, something sweet and something savory. We will also work on knife skill in every class, safety is prioritized. We will also create a different culinary themed craft everyday ! There will be free art time and recess outside to get some energy out. We will explore math skills while we review measurements and use ½ cup measurements to make 1 cup or 1 ½ cup portions. Reading is encouraged as we go over the ingredients and recipe. Social skills are reinforced as we work together to make the recipes, while practicing patience taking turns using the mixer, blending, pressure cooker, etc. Class fee includes the (increasingly high) cost of food. Make it Light Up! Crafting with CircuitsQuestIn this creative summer class, students ages 9-12 will combine art, sewing, and simple circuitry to create projects that light up. Young makers will learn how to safely use LED lights, batteries, and conductive thread while exploring paper art, origami, and soft materials like felt. Projects will include light-up pop-up cards, glowing origami, sewn bookmarks, and playful felt monsters with illuminated features. Exceptional instructors including professionals from specialized fields, local artists, and teachers from RVUSD offer classes to spark each student’s interest, creativity and curiosity.
