Ready, Set, GAME! In this camp, you’ll design and build your own, hand-powered arcade games. Using mainly up-cycled materials, you’ll choose, design, and build your game. Ideas include: a pinball game, bowling alley, mini golf hole, ring toss game, skee ball and more — the possibilities are endless. On the last day of camp we’ll try out each other’s games and invite your family to join us the last hour to participate. SO, let’s MAKE an arcade.

Do you LOVE color? Do you enjoy making art out of recycled materials? Are you curious about some of our local bugs and wildlife? Come join us for a week of creating colorful mixed media animals! Each day we will create a new colorful creation using paper, mixed media and recycled materials. We will create a colorful rainbow snail, a collaged crab (using paper), 3-D hanging Jellyfish, tissue paper moths, a stamped crocodile and cardboard birds! Join us for a week of colorful play and join us on the last day as we showcase our creations in a Wildlife Museum that is sure to bring color!!

Do you love to build things? Do you love using your imagination? Create it with Cardboard is a class designed for mini artists who would like to build or create just about anything with cardboard. We will learn how to make things like cars and animals and flowers using cardboard and tape. Then, we will paint our rad creations and showcase them in our very own Cardboard Museum!

Calling all young witches and wizards to a spellbinding Hogwarts adventure this summer! If you are charmed by the wizarding world, then this is the class for you! After being sorted into Houses, come create an owl to sit in our owlery, try your hand at Spells and dueling, and find your Patronus in Defense Against the Dark Arts. And, because every magical journey requires a wand, we’ll make those during our adventure as well! Herbology (with Mandrakes!), and Astronomy will round out our schedule of classes before taking on End of Term Projects and tallying House Points. Come join the fun!

Welcome to the weird, wonderful world of bugs! During this exciting, science-filled adventure, you’ll discover why certain insects buzz, which prehistoric bug was the size of a large bird, and other fun facts. Learn about beetles, dragonflies, moths, and more and find out how they fly, jump, chirp, sting, and communicate. Discover how to Identify and observe insects nearby, conduct scientific experiments, and participate in STEM activities like testing an ant’s strength and making a paper bug that actually moves. Along the way you will find lots of opportunities to explore the amazing world of bugs!

Classes start with an introduction to all ingredients being used. The recipes for the day are read allowed and we make sure no one “yucks someone's yum” - we work as a team to create each recipe. Each student takes home a portion of what they make everyday. We will make 2 recipes per day, something sweet and something savory. We will also work on knife skill in every class, safety is prioritized. We will also create a different culinary themed craft everyday ! There will be free art time and recess outside to get some energy out. We will explore math skills while we review measurements and use ½ cup measurements to make 1 cup or 1 ½ cup portions. Reading is encouraged as we go over the ingredients and recipe. Social skills are reinforced as we work together to make the recipes, while practicing patience taking turns using the mixer, blending, pressure cooker, etc. Class fee includes the (increasingly high) cost of food.
